SUMMARY:RELazioni. Visual Arts and Sculpture in the Architectural and Landscape Spaces of L'Aquila and Its Surrounding Area
DESCRIPTION:The project calls for a group of selected fine arts academies to create at least 5 works per academy during 2026\, one of which will be of medium to large in scale\, suitable for installation in the urban environment\, while the other four works will be medium to small in scale\, suitable for indoor exhibition. The Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila is the project leader and\, in agreement with the City of L’Aquila\, has identified five other state-run academies as project partners\, specifically the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome\, the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples\, the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara\, the Brera Academy of Fine Arts\, and the Ravenna Academy of Fine Arts\, whose participation will be featured in a special section through the creation of a work using the artistic techniques of mosaic or ceramics. There are also plans to combine the exhibition of the produced works with a competition aimed at awarding prizes to some of the created works. The opening will take place on August 20 at 6:30 p.m.

SUMMARY:City of Foundation
DESCRIPTION:The project aims to organize a series of conferences focusing specifically on the founding cities of the Apennine region of central Italy (including L’Aquila\, Leonessa\, Cittaducale\, and Cittareale)\, with in-depth analyses of the historical\, legal\, economic\, and commercial contexts within which these cities were founded. A concluding workshop will focus on contemporary urban planning issues. To round out the lecture series\, the project plans to organize a program of guided tours of the towns covered\, with a special focus on lesser-known towns\, in order to promote the growth and diversification of tourist flows along more niche itineraries.

DESCRIPTION:This is a regular event organized in collaboration with the Archival Superintendence of Abruzzo and Molise\, based on the recognition of our Film Archive Center as a site of particularly significant cultural interest pursuant to Legislative Decree 42/2014\, as amended and supplemented. Meetings and screenings with schools focus on the concept of protecting artistic heritage\, beginning with motion picture film\, which Article 10 of the Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape recognizes as a cultural asset of rare and valuable character once it has been declared to be of cultural interest. Schools are involved through the Provincial Education Office of Abruzzo.
