SUMMARY:The Visitation in L'Aquila: Raphael and Pontormo
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition\, curated by Professor Tom Henry and Dr. Federica Zalabra\, focuses on the return of Raphael’s *Visitation* to L’Aquila after more than four centuries\, and represents a unique opportunity to explore and share with the community the historical\, artistic\, and symbolic complexity of the work and the relationship between the prominent patron from L’Aquila and the great master of the Italian Renaissance.\nThe exhibition\, which is accessible and inclusive\, will feature paintings—including Pontormo’s *Visitation* from Carmignano—drawings\, prints\, architectural models\, and documents in an unprecedented combination\, and will be accompanied by an illustrated catalog written and edited by the curators\, with contributions from other leading scholars in the field.

DESCRIPTION:An exhibition curated by Maurizio Cattelan and Marta Papini that pays tribute to Fabio Mauri\, a central figure in Italian art and 20th-century thought\, on the centennial of his birth. \nThe exhibition traces the twenty-year period from 1979 to 1999\, when Mauri taught “Aesthetics of Experimentation” at the Academy of Fine Arts in L’Aquila. The works conceived and staged during those years form the heart of the exhibition and highlight the connection between his artistic research\, the city\, and its inhabitants.  \nOn the centennial of his birth (1926–2009)\, the exhibition offers an opportunity to explore a key chapter in the artist’s career.
