SUMMARY:Free Flight: Am I one of you?
DESCRIPTION:A tribute to women—engaged and full of joy—who adore both the virtues and the flaws of the other half of the sky. A warm and down-to-earth ode\, woven from a mosaic of scenes inspired by Goldoni\, chosen for their modernity and\, indeed\, their “contemporaneity.” It is no coincidence that these scenes are linked by a beautiful series of pop songs from today’s collective imagination\, performed live. And in this divertissement—which combines wit and lighthearted grace—there is another departure from traditional Goldoni productions: all the characters wear masks\, in contrast to the key idea of the author’s later work\, in which he would have preferred to eliminate all masks… But thanks to these masks\, three excellent actresses portray no fewer than sixteen different characters! \nHellequin Theater Company\, Pordenone\nDirected by Ferruccio Merisi\nArtistic Director: Manuele Morgese \n  \nTickets at https://www.cinemazeta.it/

SUMMARY:All the Necessary Extravagances: “Everything Looks Fine from the Outside”
DESCRIPTION:By Daniele Fabbri\, with Giulia Vanni\, directed by Daniele Fabbri\n“My father taught me the leg movements of water polo players: bend your knees like a hammer and draw circles with your knees while pushing outward. It’s thanks to this movement that they can lift themselves out of the water. If I were in a pool\, I’d use it and have my hands free. But with cancer\, you’re not swimming in clear waters. At first you think things are going well—it’s just a puddle\, a minor setback: one foot in front of the other\, your incurable optimism\, and you’ll be out of it. But you find nothing solid beneath the sludge; you try to drag yourself along\, but your body won’t follow—it’s starting to let go. Oh no\, dear body! We can’t just give up like that! From the outside\, everything’s fine. Also because\, aside from the cancer\, I’m doing just fine. Maybe.” *From the Outside\, Everything’s Fine* tells a true and personal story: the relationship with the “guest” that is breast cancer\, navigating between drama and variety—\n\, a comedic narrative\, and musical theater. From diagnosis to the side effects of treatment\, through certain surreal bureaucratic processes and the taboos surrounding language related to the disease. \nCredits \nBy Giulia Vanni and Daniele Fabbri | Starring Giulia Vanni | Illustrations | The Sando |\nStyling | Karma B In collaboration with Associazione L’albero dalle molte vite |\nProduction | Valdrada Teatro Co-production | Teatro Valmisa | With the support of Le\ncittà possibili Festival and Associazione Tdl/Teatro del Lido di Ostia \nDirector’s Notes \nThe show blends drama and humor\, depicting the journey of those living with the disease through an irreverent brand of comedy that helps break the silence. “Here’s the problem: when you’re dealing with cancer\, life becomes unbearable—not so much because of the disease itself\, but because your relationships become strained and fragile\,” revealing that the fear of the disease makes it difficult to be honest. “But it’s not because we’re bad people; it’s just that we’re scared and don’t know how to do the one thing that can help us: tell each other what it’s really like.” Her tone is ironic yet sincere as she shares hilarious anecdotes\, such as using cancer as an excuse to get out of boring evenings or the absurdity of discovering that mosquitoes don’t bite during chemo. But the message comes through loud and clear: illness can be faced with courage\, thanks in part to humor. “I’m sure that after this\nstory\, you’ll be left with only good memories and a few more tools to face it all. And if you want to cross your fingers\, now’s the time! Thank goodness it’s the left breast…” A laugh so liberating that it embraces fear and makes it lighter. \nFor information and reservations\, call 3280527856 or 3406688091\, email\n\, or visit spaziorimediato@gmail.com\nwww.facebook.com/spaziorimediato\nwww.instagram.com/spazio_rimediato

SUMMARY:Papaveri e Papere Theater Season: Let's Find a Rapunzel!
DESCRIPTION:The story of Rapunzel is told by two cooks who are baking a cake. All the ingredients are brought out onto the counter in the small kitchen. Everything is ready when a craving for coffee interrupts the baking. But the work must go on; they can’t stop. Craving or wanting something else can lead to trouble\, just like those two farmers who lost a daughter because of their craving for rampion. But you can’t bring up a story without telling the whole thing. And so\, between a cup of coffee and the cake preparation—whose aromas the audience will also be able to enjoy—the two cooks never stop recounting and pondering that strange story that begins with a wish—to have a child—and a craving—for Rapunzel’s hair grown in a fairy’s garden. The two cooks tell and bring to life the fairy tale of Rapunzel using vegetables\, ladles\, spoons—whatever they find on the counter. They become so immersed in the fate of the protagonists that they eventually step in\, taking part in a story that’s also about them and all of us. \nA story\, a fairy tale\, that reminds us that even in the darkest moments\, we must not lose hope for a happy ending. Life will have its sorrows\, its wounds\, and its moments of abandonment\, but it is always worth living to the fullest. \n\nCattivi Maestri Theater Company\, Savona\nDirected by Antonio Tancredi\nArtistic Director: Manuele Morgese\ntickets at https://www.cinemazeta.it/

SUMMARY:All the Necessary Extravagances: “Confessions of a Hungry Woman”
DESCRIPTION:A play by Giuseppe Tomei\, starring Gemma Maria la Cecilia\, with set design by Antonello Santarelli. \nSynopsis: “Confessions of a Hungry Woman” is a theatrical monologue that explores\, in a semi-serious and ironic way\, the complex dynamics surrounding food and eating\, addressing their psychological\, cultural\, and social implications. On stage\, a single actress brings to life a character who\, through a series of reflections and moments of intimacy with the audience\, lays bare her contradictions regarding food: pleasure\, guilt\, desire\, and self-control. Food becomes a lens through which to observe ourselves and the society in which we live\, where every bite is laden with meaning. Through a combination of irony\, moments of raw honesty\, and sincere storytelling\, the protagonist confronts her own relationship with food\, external pressures\, and the daily challenges surrounding the body\, body image\, and self-esteem. The performance oscillates between laughter and deep reflection\, offering the audience a mirror of their own eating habits and the meanings we attribute to food. \nDirector’s Notes: The set design is minimalist\, deliberately sparse\, to focus on the intensity of the performance and the interaction with the audience. The monologue is enriched by brief pauses\, improvisations\, and moments when the protagonist addresses the audience directly\, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and engagement. The language is conversational and often shifts between lighthearted and more dramatic tones\, keeping the audience in a state of constant surprise. \nFor information and reservations\, call 3280527856 or 3406688091\, email\n\, or visit spaziorimediato@gmail.com\nwww.facebook.com/spaziorimediato\nwww.instagram.com/spazio_rimediato

SUMMARY:All the Necessary Superfluities: Poems "Phocomelic Poems"
DESCRIPTION:Poetic Ramblings (1980–2024): Verses\, Gestures\, and Voice by Daniele Timpano\nIn collaboration with Elvira Frosini\nOriginal music by Marco Maurizi\nLighting design by Omar Scala\nOrganization and distribution: Laura Belloni\nProduction: Gli Scarti Center for Innovative Theater Production\,\nKataklisma Teatro\nI leave it to you to judge; throw stones if you wish\nIf I seem like a poet to you\, stone me.\n(Vittorio Alfieri\, *Calascionata seconda*\, 1775)\n*Poemi Focomelici* is a collection of poems by Daniele Timpano\,\n\, published in 2025 by CuePress.\nA show is born from the collection.\nAn autobiography in verse: from a Christmas letter to his parents in 1980 to 2024; from the dawn of his career as an author and his first self-published collections of texts—circulated as carbon-copied typescripts distributed via photocopies between 1996 and 1998—through the endless array of poetic\, theatrical\, and literary—both completed and unfinished—all the way to the imploding political rage of the present and the evocation of a death that\, if not imminent\, is no longer so far off.\nThese *Poemi Focomelici* by Daniele Timpano are a carefully curated selection of poetic texts\, arranged in chronological order; they constitute the unique poetic autobiography of a man—or rather\, what remains of the author’s half-century of life and over forty years of compulsive writing.\nThey are “poems” (albeit “focomelic” ones)\, rhythms that attempt to become meter: perhaps lopsided\, hypermetric\, hypometric\, or ametric\, but meter nonetheless. A rhythm that is that of a stubborn thought caught in recursive ruminations; a flow of breath that stirs the body at the moment of speaking; a headless music that seems to have found its proper measure\, perhaps\, only in maniacal and endless rewritings and rereadings. \nFor information and reservations\, call 3280527856 or 3406688091\, email\n\, or visit spaziorimediato@gmail.com\nwww.facebook.com/spaziorimediato\nwww.instagram.com/spazio_rimediato

SUMMARY:Free Flight: Anna Karenina
DESCRIPTION:Anna Karenina challenges us to reflect on the emotional world that unexpectedly overwhelms individual and social experience\, bursting forcefully into reality and the imagination. A character who seems predictable at first glance but is deeply enigmatic—one who has managed to draw an entire social context into the existential vortex of emotions. In a train station waiting room—a place of arrivals and departures\, a crossroads of lives—she reappears\, ready to confront her own experiences\, drawing passengers into a theatrical interplay: life bursting onto the stage and the stage bursting into everyday life. The audience is transported into Tolstoy’s great novel\, revealing the intimate\, human\, spontaneous\, true\, and timeless essence of the characters. Anna’s journey into herself—through her love for Count Vronsky and her conflict with her husband Karenin—is the journey of many of us; once again\, the director uses literature to explore the human soul\, and in this case\, a universal emotion: passion. \nSeven Cults Theater Company\, Rome\nDirected by Filippo D’Alessio\nArtistic Director: Manuele Morgese \nTickets at https://www.cinemazeta.it/

SUMMARY:All the Necessary Extravagances: “Jim and Me”
DESCRIPTION:By Giuseppe Tomei\, with Davide Grillo\, Marco Valeri\, and Riccardo Biscetti\, a performance and theater workshops centered on the themes of irony\, philosophy\, and rediscovering the meaning of life. \nIn a dystopian future\, the echoes of ’60s rock still manage to throw open the doors of perception\, but what they reveal might be more unsettling than any reality. An ironic\, psychedelic\, and musical journey through the fears and anxieties of the modern age.\nThe show is the result of a collaboration between musician Riccardo Biscetti\, Spazio Rimediato\, and I Guastafeste\, directed by Marco Valeri. This creative synergy has led to the creation of an original script that combines contemporary technologies\, spoken-word theater\, dramaturgy\, and narrative\, musical\, and interpretive experimentation; by analyzing the latest innovations in communication—particularly artificial intelligence—the goal of this National Premiere is to create a synergistic catharsis with the audience\, who will find themselves immersed in a hypothetical reality rich with infinite possibilities but equally fraught with unsettling existential doubts. The show\, with its lighthearted and engaging tone\, gradually shifts toward an intense and impactful finale. \nFor information and reservations\, call 3280527856 or 3406688091\, email\n\, or visit spaziorimediato@gmail.com\nwww.facebook.com/spaziorimediato\nwww.instagram.com/spazio_rimediato

SUMMARY:Free Flight: A Thousand Blue Bubbles
DESCRIPTION:A clandestine same-sex love story that began in Palermo in the 1960s and continues—running parallel to a so-called “normal” life—for thirty years: this is the theme of “Le mille bolle blu\,” a monologue written by journalist Salvatore Rizzo\, performed and directed by Filippo Luna. “Le mille bolle blu” debuted at the Nuovo Montevergini theater in the Sicilian capital and\, after a series of successful performances\, was staged at various public and private theaters across several Italian regions (from Lombardy to Veneto to Umbria) and at various festivals (from the Orestiadi in Gibellina to Taormina Arte). For his performance in this monologue\, the lead actor\, Filippo Luna\, received the 2010 National Association of Theater Critics Award for achieving “a perfect blend of stage presence and acting that captures both emotion and disillusionment.” “Le mille bolle blu” tells the story of Nardino and Manuele—the former a barber in the suburbs\, the latter a lawyer: they meet as very young men in the barbershop where Nardino works as an apprentice under his father’s watchful eye and Manuele is the son of a wealthy client. It is the early 1960s—precisely the period when Mina’s hit “Le mille bolle blu” was all the rage. Destined for predetermined social and family roles (those of irreproachable husbands and caring fathers)\, the two carry on a thirty-year relationship of love and passion that is fueled in part by the secrecy in which it is lived—a secrecy that is both its lifeblood and its torment. Manuele’s death from illness becomes the pretext for Nardino—unable to openly mourn the man he loved or to cry out his grief to the world—to retrace certain moments from those thirty years\, amid nostalgia and bitterness\, anger and tenderness. An altar of memories that affirms the universality of that feeling beyond all barriers and preconceptions. “Le mille bolle blu” is adapted from the short story of the same name by Salvatore Rizzo himself\, originally published in the volume “Muore lentamente chi evita una passione – Diverse storie diverse” (Pietro Vittorietti Editore)\, which collects ten stories of male homosexuality\, all drawn from real life and set in Sicily from the 1920s to the present day. \nNutrimenti Terrestri Messina\nDirected by Maurizio Puglisi\nArtistic Director: Manuele Morgese

SUMMARY:Growing Up in the Theater: The Moral of the Story!
DESCRIPTION:Fairy tales are the best way to depict oppression. The wolf is the quintessential villain—an archetype of evil—and in the original fairy tales\, he wins and devours the poor\, innocent victim\, who is sometimes a little lamb\, sometimes a little piglet\, and sometimes a little girl who has lost her way. Poor Little Red Riding Hood\, in fact\, did not originally escape the wolf’s belly. In short\, it’s not true that villains always lose—unfortunately\, we see this every day—and only a cultural shift can help us change course. \n\nBrucaliffo Production\nDirected by Antonello Santarelli

SUMMARY:Free Flight: Boxeur
DESCRIPTION:*Boxeur* is a play about a boxing match—the most important and highly anticipated boxing match of the postwar era. The year is 1946. Paris. The crowd gathers curiously around the ring\, everyone waiting for the two challengers to enter: Eugenio Smit Lorenzoni and Victor Young Perez. Eugenio Lorenzoni is a young man from Trentino—from Cles—who emigrated to France to escape hunger and the advance of the fascist regime. In Paris\, he works in a factory and takes up boxing\, eventually competing for the French title. Victor Young Perez is Tunisian and becomes the world flyweight champion at just 20 years old. But the careers of these two young athletes were cut short by the outbreak of the war and the Nazi regime. *Boxeur* is a show about boxing\, courage\, and resistance to fascism and Nazism. But above all\, *Boxeur* is a show about never giving up\, because the impossible isn’t forever. *Boxeur* is a story of victory and courage—an ironic and poetic show\, as light and profound as life itself: never entirely the same\, never entirely one color. \n\nTeatroE in Vallizzano\nDirected by Maura Pettorruso\nArtistic Director: Manuele Morgese
