Among the major highlights of the official program is <strong>Liu Bolin<\/strong>, the Chinese artist known worldwide as \u201cthe invisible man.\u201d <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With his new art project <strong>\u201cBeyond the Visible<\/strong>, <strong>\u201d<\/strong> presented by <em>Audentes Consulting<\/em> in collaboration with the <em>Gaburro Gallery<\/em>, Bolin will bring his extraordinary camouflage technique to the heart of Abruzzo, celebrating the identity and rebirth of this unique region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who Is Liu Bolin, \u201cThe Invisible Man\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\nKnown for his spectacular body-painting performances, Liu Bolin doesn\u2019t just take photographs\u2014he becomes part of the image. Through a meticulous process of painting his body and clothes, the artist blends completely with his surroundings until he almost disappears entirely. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In L&#8217;Aquila, this practice will take on a profound meaning: an invitation to look more closely, to discover what lies \u201cbeyond the visible,\u201d and to reflect on the connection between humankind and our historical and natural heritage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Three iconic photographs of three treasures of Abruzzo<\/strong><br \/>\nThe \u201cBeyond the Visible\u201d project will consist of three public performances\u2014highlights during which residents and visitors will be able to witness the artist\u2019s creative process firsthand. These previously unpublished photographs will capture Liu Bolin blending into the background at three sites of inestimable value: <\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>The Basilica of Santa Maria di Collemaggio<\/strong>: a universal symbol of L&#8217;Aquila and Celestine&#8217;s forgiveness.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rocca Calascio<\/strong>: one of the most picturesque and frequently photographed fortresses in the world, nestled in the Gran Sasso mountains.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Ancient Forests of the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park<\/strong>: a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of our region\u2019s wild and unspoiled nature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Exhibition: July\u2013September 2026<\/strong><br \/>\nThe result of these performances will be a limited series of striking photographic works.
