{"id":6408,"date":"2025-11-28T12:20:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-28T11:20:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/laquila2026.it\/evento\/adolescere-lets-sow-art-6th-edition\/"},"modified":"2025-11-28T12:20:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T11:20:12","slug":"adolescere-lets-sow-art-6th-edition","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/laquila2026.it\/en\/evento\/adolescere-lets-sow-art-6th-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"Adolesc\u0115re &#8211; Let&#8217;s Sow Art, 6th Edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Curated by WindMill in collaboration with the artists of the Women Visual Artists Database<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Me\u2014a teenager?<\/em><br \/>\n<em>If she were to suddenly appear before me right here, right now,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>should I perhaps greet her as a loved one,<\/em><br \/>\n<em>even though she is a stranger to me and far away?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Wis\u0142awa Szymborska<br \/>\ntranslated by Pietro Marchesani<br \/>\nfrom \u201cDue punti\/Qui,\u201d Libri Scheiwiller, 2010<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The MuBAq Children\u2019s Museum in L\u2019Aquila, thanks to WinMill and the artists from the Women Visual Artists Database, is bringing a project to L\u2019Aquila, the Capital of Culture, on <strong>a theme that is far removed from the conventional art world<\/strong>\u2014one that is <strong>perhaps<\/strong> uncomfortable but of great interest and engagement for audiences of all generations, whether or not they are accustomed to attending artistic events.<br \/>\nArtists from the Women Visual Artists Database around the world were invited to reflect on this particular experience, drawing on their own personal experiences as well as those of others\u2014such as their children, siblings, and friends.<br \/>\nEach of the <strong>122 artists<\/strong> presents a work\u2014a sort of diptych consisting of a visual component and a textual component, which often blend and merge\u2014making this a unique art project meant to be both seen and read.<br \/>\nTogether, the works form <strong>a panorama of emotions and memories, of inner conflicts, bearing witness to the changing relationship with one\u2019s own body and mind<\/strong>. A deeply moving story told through images and words, in which people can recognize their own experiences and let themselves be drawn in.<br \/>\nThe <strong>exhibition project<\/strong> is designed to \u201ctravel\u201d to different cities and countries, fostering talks, performances, and audience engagement\u2014particularly with teenagers. At the end of the exhibition, <strong>the artworks and their accompanying texts will be compiled into an artist\u2019s book<\/strong>, which will be donated to a public institution.
