Barattelli\u201d<\/strong> presents an extraordinarily rare event for the <strong>30th edition of the Organ and Early Music Festival \u201cMusic and Architecture \u2013 Places of Time and Music<\/strong>\u201d: German virtuoso <strong>Martin Sturm<\/strong> \u2014organist, composer, professor, and director of the Department of Sacred Music and Organ at<strong>the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar<\/strong> \u2014 brings the art of real-time organ improvisation to L\u2019Aquila, performing on both of the historic instruments at the <strong>Basilica of St. Bernardino of Siena<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the first part of the concert, Sturm performs his own <em>*Missa per Organo*<\/em> on the monumental <strong>1726<\/strong> organ by <strong>Feliciano Fedeli<\/strong>, located on the counter-fa\u00e7ade and considered one of the largest and best-preserved examples of 18th-century Italian organ architecture. In the second part, he takes his place at the <strong>1939<\/strong> organ by <strong>Vincenzo Mascioni<\/strong>, situated behind the High Altar: two historic voices from one of L\u2019Aquila\u2019s most significant and iconic basilicas, in dialogue with the improvisational creativity of one of the most award-winning performers on the international scene, winner of prestigious competitions and the <strong>Kulturpreis Bayern<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event is organized in collaboration with the <strong>Order of Friars Minor<\/strong>, the <strong>Archdiocese of L&#8217;Aquila<\/strong>, and the <strong>Central Directorate for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of the Interior<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>FREE ADMISSION UNTIL ALL AVAILABLE SEATS ARE FILLED.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the program for L\u2019Aquila 2026, Italian Capital of Culture, the L\u2019Aquila Concert Society \u201cB.
