The festival’s concert program faithfully reflects the richness and variety of the Conservatory’s educational and artistic activities. The program spans the centuries, from 16th-century L’Aquila—with the rediscovery of Pasquale Tristabocca’s madrigals—to bold contemporary electroacoustic experiments, passing through the classicism of Muzio Clementi, the romances of Francesco Paolo Tosti, and the 20th-century works of Casella, Dallapiccola, and Rota.
The program strikes a balance between modernity and tradition, with offerings ranging from chamber music to jazz, as well as tributes to the classics of Italian song and to great masters such as Ennio Morricone.The participation of ensembles such as the Conservatory String Orchestra, I Fiati del Casella, and I Solisti with the Casella Orchestra attests to the students’ high level of training and their active involvement in artistic production, a fundamental pillar of the Conservatory’s mission.
