Part of the official program for L’Aquila, Italian Capital of Culture 2026, this event explores how to transform these regions into thriving communities and premier destinations, from hiking trails to cinematic storytelling.

Organized by the Magna Carta Foundation, the event is an opportunity for strategic reflection on the future of villages and mountain areas. The special guest will be filmmaker Riccardo Milani, director of the acclaimed film “Un Mondo a Parte,” who will engage in a conversation with Gaetano Quagliariello, President of the Magna Carta Foundation, to reflect on the value of places considered “apart” and on the best practices needed to reverse the trend of depopulation.

Moderated by Annamaria Parente, the event marks a key milestone in the “Aree Interne in Cammino” series, confirming how culture, the beauty of the landscapes, and media storytelling can become decisive drivers for a possible future.
