In this extraordinary year, asL’Aquila serves asthe 2026 Italian Capital of Culture, the Cantieri dell’Immaginario festival is celebrating its most ambitious edition yet. From July 4 to August 6, the city transforms into an open-air theater, hosting over 40 events ranging from music to dance, theater to contemporary storytelling. The festival, promoted by the City of L’Aquila and coordinated by TSA, brings together the region’s cultural excellence to offer a vision of a “multiverse city,” where art is a common good and a tool for rebirth.

The 2026 lineup features internationally renowned names: from the opening performance by étoile Roberto Bolle to the world premiere of *Missa pro Pace* by Oscar-winning composer Nicola Piovani, to performances by artists such as Giovanni Allevi, Giorgio Panariello, and Mr. Rain. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque stairways of San Bernardino and historic theaters, the festival also reaffirms its social mission through projects dedicatedto inclusion and LIS accessibility, extending its magic to the villages of the crater as well. An electrifying collective experience, capable of connecting different languages and telling the world a story of beauty and the future.
