Somatic Movement Workshop | SOND – The School of Narrative Dance
As part of SOND – The School of Narrative Dance by Marinella Senatore, produced by MAXXI L’Aquila for the L’Aquila 2026 Italian Capital of Culture program, this somatic movement workshop explores the body as a space for creative decision-making and authentic expression.
Through practices of inner listening, exercises in breath awareness, and postural alignment, participants are guided to rediscover the expressive potential already present in everyday movement. The program consists of individual exercises, partner-based activities, and group choreographic compositions, in which ordinary gestures become shared choreographic material.
The workshop is part of the participatory process of SOND, an international project through which Marinella Senatore uses artistic expression as a tool for collective empowerment, social inclusion, and civic engagement, in line with the cultural vision of L’Aquila 2026. Italian Sign Language interpretation will be provided.
