Bodysound Workshop | SOND – The School of Narrative Dance
As part of SOND – The School of Narrative Dance by Marinella Senatore, produced by MAXXI L’Aquila for the L’Aquila 2026 Italian Capital of Culture program, the Bodysound workshop explores the body as an instrument for sound and composition.
Clapping, footsteps, breathing, and vocalizations become creative elements for building collective rhythmic landscapes. The process gradually evolves from basic rhythmic patterns toward more complex choral structures, in which coordination, memory, and shared focus guide participants toward shared choreographic forms.
The workshop is part of the participatory process of SOND, an international project through which Marinella Senatore uses artistic expression as a tool for collective empowerment, social inclusion, and civic engagement, in line with the cultural vision of L’Aquila 2026. Italian Sign Language interpretation will be provided.
