Produced by MAXXI L’Aquila as part of the program for L’Aquila 2026, Italian Capital of Culture, this Focus dedicated to Marinella Senatore and her international project *The School of Narrative Dance* is curated by Chiara Bertini and features drawings, watercolors, and archival photographs dating back to 2014—the year the artist won the third edition of the MAXXI Prize with SOND —along with subsequent acquisitions by the MAXXI Collection in 2019.

The exhibition includes a map of the 30 countries around the world that have hosted *The School of Narrative Dance*, as well as the video *Ongoing Documentary* (2013–2024), a visual record of a project that has built a global network of participants and communities. The exhibition is further enriched by a previously unseen video and a banner created specifically for the L’Aquila edition, donated by the artist to the City of L’Aquila.

“Focus” is part of the participatory process launched by Marinella Senatore in L’Aquila, in which artistic expression serves as a tool for collective empowerment, social inclusion, and civic engagement.
