“Stories for a New Beginning” is a site-specific, community-based theater project that transforms the landscape into a stage and the time of sunset into a shared moment of listening. Conceived and produced by Vesuvioteatro, with artistic direction by Claudio Di Palma and artistic consultation by Giulio Baffi, this eco-sustainable theater festival unfolds through traveling performances designed to engage intimately with sites of historical, architectural, and scenic value, without resorting to invasive set designs, electrical equipment, or artificial amplification. Natural light and ambient sound become an integral part of the dramaturgy, restoring to theater an essential, poetic, and deeply contemporary dimension.

There are places where stones are more than just matter. They are traces, a voice, memory. The memory of stones emerges as a poetic exploration of the relationship between humans and stone: the stone that forms the foundation of homes, marks the boundaries of paths, preserves time, and withstands the wind and the seasons. A New Beginning. Inspired by the writings of Giustino Parisse and the impressions gathered throughout the Abruzzo region, the performance unfolds in a suspended, dreamlike dimension, where stories, images, and fragments of memory intertwine with live music, vocals, and the harp, giving life to an intimate and visionary soundscape. In the small square of Nuova Onna, among stones steeped in history and silence, the audience is invited to sharea delicate and profound listening experience, in which the very fabric of the landscape seems to become a story.
