As part of the program for L’Aquila 2026, Italian Capital of Culture, the event “99 Songs” —curated by Massimo Felici in collaboration with Claudio Mastracci and organizedby the Euterpe Music Association —presents Zang, Tumb, Tumb, a concert-workshop that transforms the stage into a space of sounds, ideas, and visions, paying homage to the artistic revolution of Futurism and the historical avant-garde movements of the 20th century.

Inspired by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti’s famous “Parolibero” poem, the concert takes the audience on a journey through rhythm, speed, mechanics, and experimentation with music by Francesco Balilla Pratella, Franco Casavola, Silvio Mix, Luigi Russolo, Daniele Lombardi, George Antheil, and Alexander Mosolov —pioneers of a radical transformation of musical language. Combining voice, piano, and electronics, *Zang, Tumb, Tumb* conveys to the audience the full visionary and provocative power of Futurist aesthetics, in a dialogue between music, experimentation, and modernity that continues to resonate with our times.
