*Boxeur* is a play about a boxing match—the most important and highly anticipated boxing match of the postwar era. The year is 1946. Paris. The crowd gathers curiously around the ring, everyone waiting for the two challengers to enter: Eugenio Smit Lorenzoni and Victor Young Perez. Eugenio Lorenzoni is a young man from Trentino—from Cles—who emigrated to France to escape hunger and the advance of the fascist regime. In Paris, he works in a factory and takes up boxing, eventually competing for the French title. Victor Young Perez is Tunisian and becomes the world flyweight champion at just 20 years old. But the careers of these two young athletes were cut short by the outbreak of the war and the Nazi regime. *Boxeur* is a show about boxing, courage, and resistance to fascism and Nazism. But above all, *Boxeur* is a show about never giving up, because the impossible isn’t forever. *Boxeur* is a story of victory and courage—an ironic and poetic show, as light and profound as life itself: never entirely the same, never entirely one color.
