The Ensemble Baccano string quartet takes center stage in a journey that weaves together classical music and its roots. The musical program is entirely based on the relationship between folk music and the classical tradition.
The concert will be held in historic residences in L’Aquila, as a result of the collaboration between the ensemble and ADSI Abruzzo, united by a shared desire to promote Abruzzo’s cultural heritage.
The concert will be repeated at 6:00 p.m. at the Oratory of St. Anthony of the Knights of Nardis.

The Baccano Ensemble is the youth instrumental ensemble of Identità Musicali ETS, an association founded in Abruzzo in 2021 with the goal of bringing together young musicians from the region. From its very name, the association seeks to embody a quest that, through the language of classical music, aims to offer a framework of values and approaches in which musicians and audiences alike can recognize their own identities. The project embodies the desire to strengthen ties with the region where many began their artistic journey, creating job opportunities and promoting the local heritage, which consists of cultural assets and traditions. Through its concerts, the association seeks to foster “everyday” classical music—one capable of finding its place even in a complex region—a cultural offering that does not wait for ideal conditions but works to create them.
