“Semi-Serious and Tragicomic Readings” is a reading performance—featuring musical improvisations by Jonis Bascir—that brings together notes, ideas, readings, and reflections by the Roman actor and director Edoardo Leo. Twenty years of clippings, memories, and laughter, transformed into an engaging show that changes in form and content each time depending on the venue and occasion. An opportunity to smile and reflect,offering glimpses into human life by blending words and music. A reflection on comedy and poetry to show that, after all, they aren’t so far apart. On stage, you’ll find not only stories and monologues by famous writers (Benni, Calvino, Márquez, Eco, Benni, Piccolo) but also newspaper articles, anecdotes, and texts by young contemporary authors and Edoardo Leo himself—along with plenty of surprises.

Admission to all opening performances at the Teatro San Filippo Neri (April 17–19) is free. Due to the venue’s limited capacity, registration is required and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
