The project proposal calls for the creation of an initiative to foster understanding and engagement between contemporary art and the community of L’Aquila through the establishment of four artist residencies in the city, each lasting one month. The artists will be provided with housing and a studio. During their residency, they will be engaged in the creation of a new work and in leading workshop sessions for various audiences. The work produced by each artist will be exhibited at the end of the residency until the start of the next residency, as part of a symbolic relay. At the conclusion of the residencies, a final exhibition will be held featuring the four works, which will then become part of the city’s public collection.
