The program explores the evolution of 20th-century Italian music, from Dallapiccola’s symbolic intimism to the expressiveness of Casella and Busoni, with tributes to Bach and reinterpretations of the past, leading up to the influences of Berio and the tribute by Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
