Opening of the exhibition “Cultural Ecosystem,” the beating heart of the Opera Demopratica L’Aquila. The project, promoted by the Pistoletto Cittadellarte Foundation in collaboration with the City of L’Aquila, transforms the city into a laboratory for social regeneration inspired by Michelangelo Pistoletto’s principles of Demopraxia and Trinamica.

The exhibition is not merely a display, but a strategic initiative that places culture at the center of development: the Maestro’s works interact with the objects and books provided by local organizations, creating a collective narrative of L’Aquila’s identity. The “Third Paradise” installation, composed of chairs loaned by local organizations, becomes a visual symbol of collective intelligence and shared responsibility.

The Opera Demopratica redefines the role of Cultural and Creative Enterprises (CCEs) as drivers of connection between industry, the nonprofit sector, and citizens. Through a dynamic mapping project that pays homage to the city’s 99 founding castles, the initiative aims to break down traditional barriers between culture, the economy, and social impact. “Cultural Ecosystem” is the first step in a participatory process that will accompany the city throughout the year, culminating in the Demopratic Forum in May, to define new forms of cultural governance and urban sustainability.
