Summer at MAXXI L’Aquila | Music, Talks, and Movies
As part of the program for L’Aquila 2026, Italian Capital of Culture, “Summer at MAXXI L’Aquila” is the entertainment and cultural enrichment program offered by the Abruzzo branch of the National Museum of 21st-Century Arts, organized with the support of ALES – Arte Lavoro e Servizi S.p.A. and under the patronage of the City of L’Aquila.
The program is organized around three themes: music—ranging from jazz to classical to contemporary experimental works—in collaboration with the “Alfredo Casella” State Conservatory of Music; talks dedicated to major figures in Italian and European literature and culture—from Ovid to Garibaldi, from D’Annunzio to Oscar Wilde—featuring speakers such as Edoardo Prati; art-house and animated films, in collaboration with the L’Aquila Film Festival, featuring a program dedicated to the themes of coexistence, care, and sustainability.
The program includes a special event featuringthe European Gravitational Observatory (EGO) and the Gran Sasso National Laboratories (LNGS INFN), underscoring L’Aquila 2026’s commitment to bringing together scientific culture and the arts. Admission to all events is free.
