The exhibition, curated by Professor Tom Henry and Dr. Federica Zalabra, focuses on the return of Raphael’s *Visitation* to L’Aquila after more than four centuries, and represents a unique opportunity to explore and share with the community the historical, artistic, and symbolic complexity of the work and the relationship between the prominent patron from L’Aquila and the great master of the Italian Renaissance.
The exhibition, which is accessible and inclusive, will feature paintings—including Pontormo’s *Visitation* from Carmignano—drawings, prints, architectural models, and documents in an unprecedented combination, and will be accompanied by an illustrated catalog written and edited by the curators, with contributions from other leading scholars in the field.
