The Archeoclub L’Aquila is collaborating with the “Dimore Culturali” project on a series of lectures dedicated to the history of the city of L’Aquila, held in the city’s historic buildings during special open house events.
The first lecture will focus on the L’Aquila region in ancient times, prior to the 1st century C.E., in light of the latest archaeological discoveries in the area—which was historically divided between the Sabines to the north and the Vestini to the south. It will be presented by Alberta Martellone, an archaeologist with the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape for the provinces of L’Aquila and Teramo.
