L’Aquila once again welcomesFrench artist Richard Phalippon, who returns to the city with an exhibition dedicated to his lamps, sculptures, and light installations. The exhibition will run from April 24 to May 10, 2026, at the new Palazzo Benedetti venue, which is inaugurating “Strano Mondo” for the occasion—a new exhibition space ready to host events and artistic experiments.
For over 15 years, Richard Phalippon has been featured in contemporary art and design fairs in Paris and across Europe, as well as in private art galleries, developing a distinctive style in which craftsmanship, design, memory, and experimentation coexist in a unique balance. Through a creative process that begins with objects from the past—discarded materials, disused industrial elements, and salvaged fragments— the artist creates luminous and functional works that evoke vintage and Art Deco atmospheres, transforming abandoned elements into unique objects, revitalized by meticulous craftsmanship and insights that blend sculpture and design.
