“Wild Days” by Yohan Guignard (L’Aquila Mountain Fest 2026: “A Life for the Mountains”)
Four friends and a crazy idea: to cross the Denali Range in 50 days of complete self-sufficiency. *Wild Days* is the logbook of a journey where friendship is tested by exhaustion, silence, and the vastness of a natural world that stretches time and makes every gesture essential. Setting out from the village of Kantishna, the group tackles a 500-kilometer trek to the Pacific Ocean, traveling on foot, on skis, and by packraft. With no marked trails or outside support, the four pull 110-kg sleds, relying solely on their own physical rhythm. An extreme and powerful immersion in a wild world, where spirits seem to soar in the immensity of the mountains.
