The Casella Soloists – itARTS Festival – Back to L’Aquila: Conservatory Festival
On April 10, the Academic Orchestra of the “A. Casella” Conservatory will officially close the ItARTS Festival with a prestigious symphonic tribute to the 2026 Italian Capital of Culture.
The ItARTS project is coming to a close after a series of cultural events and international exchanges that brought the city to life between February and April. To celebrate the festival’s conclusion, the event is scheduled for April 10 in the picturesque setting of the “Renzo Piano” Auditorium in L’Aquila.
The highlight of the evening will be a prestigious symphonic concert for piano and orchestra performed bythe Accademica Orchestra. The program is entirely dedicated to the works of Alfredo Casella, a central figure in 20th-century Italian music and the inspiration behind the city’s conservatory’s identity.
The event not only marks the conclusion of a successful festival but also serves as a solemn tribute to L’Aquila during its year as the Italian Capital of Culture. The choice of this repertoire underscores the city’s central role in national artistic promotion, combining the prestige of academic institutions with the cultural vision for 2026.
