1977. Brazil is under a military dictatorship. Using the alias Marcello, a university professor returns with his son to the northeast of the country to search for news about his mother, who is waiting to leave the country. In the past, he had crossed paths with a corrupt businessman of Italian descent, and now two hitmen are on his trail to eliminate him.
